I have slowly started reprocessing some of my deep sky astrophotos because over the years my processing has improved, and I found many of the PC monitors I’ve used to process these images vary drastically! Older monitors tended to have a darker background. Since they were processed for a darker background the images on today’s monitors tend to have brighter-looking backgrounds. Color balance changed quite a bit too, though some of that must be attributed to my eye simply not being careful enough to achieve proper color balance.
